To configure Netscape 6 to use your @outdrs.net e-mail address, first open Netscape 6
This will bring up the Netscape 6 Mail window.
Open the Edit pull-down menu and click on Mail/News Account Settings. This will open the 'Account Settings' window.
Click on the New Account button to launch the 'Account Wizard' .
Click the radio button ISP or email provider then click Next.
In the 'Identity' window, enter your name as you would like it to appear in the e-mails you send. For example: "Joe Smith".
In the 'Email Address' box enter your @outdrs.net e-mail address in this format:
youremailaddress@outdrs.net
Where 'youremailaddress' is your outdrs.net email address. For example: "timc@outdrs.net".
When you have finished entering these details, click Next.
In the 'Incoming Server' area, you should have the 'Server Type' set to POP Mail Server and the 'Server Name' should be:
mail.outdrs.net
In the 'Outgoing (SMTP) Server' area, enter mail.outdrs.net into the 'Server Name:' field.
Once you have entered these details, click Next.
You will now be asked for your 'User Name', this is the name used to log into the POP Mail Server and collect your e-mail.
You need to enter this in the form of your full e-mail address but replace the '@' symbol with an asterisk '*'.
For example, type 'youremailaddress*outdrs.net' in the 'User Name' field.
Once you have entered these details, click Next.
Type in your full email address for 'Account Name'.
Click on Next and then Finish.
Netscape 6 Mail is now configured and ready to use!
