There is No Dialtone. Make Sure Your Modem is Connected to the Phone Line Properly.
  • Make sure that the modem is installed and the phone line is running to the modem correctly.
    Make sure that the phone line is going into the port that says LINE and not the one that says PHONE.

  • Is the dialer pointing to the correct modem? In XP, sometimes it will point to a generic modem that does not exist.

  • Do you have any fax software running?

  • If none of this works, please call Tech Support for assistance.
