There is a belief among too many people who should know better that the Islamic terrorists can be persuaded somehow through dialogue, lecture them about the error of their ways, bargaining, paying them off, etc. to get them to stop their killing and bombing.
The bottom line is that mere humans cannot outbid God.
The terrorists think they are doing God's work killing all the unbelievers. To them this is the fast track way to heaven; especially if they willingly die during the process.

When I was young we used the word nigger not as a derogatory term but as a form of slang. Neither I nor anybody I knew ever used it directly at a "colored" person.
We had "nigger piles" versus dog piles today.
A person riding alone in the back seat of a car was "riding nigger"
When we fixed something half assed we "nigger rigged" it.
Eeanie, Meanie, Minie, Moe
Catch a nigger by the toe ....
And we kept short clubs for self-defense called "nigger sticks" in our cars.
I do not use such words anymore because to do so shows a lack of education and tolerance towards others. However I do believe freedom of speech means just that. As free and sovereign citizens we should be able to say anything we want to anybody no matter how offensive. As early Supreme Court decisions ruled you can't yell fire in a crowed theater and your freedom of speech ends at the tip of the other guy's nose. So if you are not threatening public safety or whipping up a mob to violence you should be able to say or write anything you want, both public and private, without fear of "speech codes", "hate crimes", and "hate speech". If someone gets offended that is the price of freedom. The village idiot has the same right of freedom of speech and expression as the most pious and tolerate citizen.

Every parent knows that when a child gets a fever that the fever is just a symptom or cause because of some underlying illness. Remove the illness and the fever disappears.
Illegal immigration, like a fever, is also a symptom. Remove the underlying causes and 99% of illegal immigration will also disappear. In this case the causes are both in the private and public sectors. If the laws against employing illegals are enforced than many illegals will not bother to cross the border. If the government at all levels deny all benefits to illegals (except for emergency medical care) that would be another reason for illegals to stay home. That would allow law enforcement agencies to hunt down criminal illegal aliens and foreign terrorists operating in our country.
All Federal, State, and local law and prison agencies should be required to track and turn over all illegals that fall into their hands and especially deport illegals after their prison sentences are completed. Any person or group, private or public, that purposely hides illegals or refuses to turn over them should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
I agree with a guest worker program to improve the economy but anybody who applies who is already in this country illegally needs to penalized to encourage them to leave and apply form their home countries. This could be things such as a large fine or ten years added to the time required for citizenship. This way we can track better who is here and collect taxes from them and, yes, if they pay into Social Security they should be allowed retirement benefits just like any other worker who is forced to pay.
The politicians are afraid to take these steps, we the people need to take back our country and force the government to do this if we want to pass on to future generations a nation in a better condition than we inherited it.

My way of fighting terrorism is quite simple and has two main parts. First part is to secure all borders and points of entry and round up all illegal aliens and deport them. We do have the manpower and resources to do this; just reassign all federal drug enforcement agents in the States and aboard to hunt for and arrest illegal aliens, border patrol, and US ports-of-entry.
The war on drugs is an expensive failure but we can still make use of the highly trained agents and their equipment for these national security tasks. We would still attempt to stop illegal drugs (along with illegal aliens and weapons) at the border. But if drugs do get into the country the responsibility will fall the individual States to deal with as they see fit without federal interference.
The second part is to hunt the terrorists to the ends of the earth. Since most of the people of the United States, indeed most of the world's population, will not live their lives as the terrorists demand it the only way to make the world safe. The terrorists will not be allowed to rest, regroup, or lay low. Death, not capture, is the only way to deal with zealots who will not compromise on their goal of a non-tolerate Islamite one world religion/government.

Say what you want about the Roman Empire, at least for much of their history there was order and security. After the fall there was total chaos all over Europe and mankind was eventually plunged into the Dark Ages where lawlessness and power ruled over the common people who were not much more than slaves. There was mass ignorance, disease, and superstition; almost all prior knowledge was forgotten.
In the last half of the twentieth century two superpowers rose from the dust and ashes of a great World War: the United States and the USSR. Both sides had nuclear weapons that could destroy the world many times over yet the Cold War also made the world a much more stable place then it is now. There were proxy wars between the U.S. and USSR but the nuclear weapons, tightly controlled by each national command authority, were never used and both sides worked towards keeping nukes and other weapons of mass destruction out of the hands of those who would use them.
The only stable power in the world right now in the United States. Like the Roman Empire, which was destroyed from within by evil and greedy men, the United States is also being destroyed from within. Outside enemies we can handle and they know it. The inside enemies are more dangerous because they are so embedded in our society, mostly education, mass media, and government bureaucracies that directly affect American's lives and livelihood. The Romans knew this and tried to fight internal enemies with emperors and more and more oppressive laws. The people gladly traded their freedoms for security. To divert the people's attention from what the government was doing public entertainment and public handouts were initialed. The United States, public and private organizations, are doing the same thing.
If the United States goes the way of past civilizations every Tom, Dick, and Mohammad with a gripe against some real or imagined enemy or cause will go after those they think are responsible without fear of any mass retaliation because there will be no one great power to stop them. Parts of the former USSR that have broken away took nukes and other weapons of mass destruction with them and who knows where they all are or who has them.
The detonation of nukes will destroy the infrastructure of the target and cause mass casualties and starvation as support and medical systems break down. The bio weapons could return us to the days when plagues that swept the countryside. Lawlessness, self-defense and survival, and the rise of ruthless warlords will make ideals like "freedom", "self-government", and "equality" obsolete and not return again for thousands of years, if ever. We will enter the Dark Ages again.
This is why we must not only defeat our foreign enemies, but those domestic ones that will destroy the Constitution and our freedoms if given the chance to do it. If the United States and its ideals go then the rest of world goes with it.

When the Constitution was first written, a slave was counted as three/fifths of a man. In the War between The States, almost 700,000 American serviceman died to change that clause, and American serviceman have been dying since to spread freedom and liberty all over the world. Today, the Democrat Party dominated Oklahoma State Legislature now wants to make me, a white heterosexual male and a veteran of twenty four plus years of service to this country, worth three/quarters of a "protected class" person if I am a victim of a crime. I will not have full protection of the law because House Bill 1211, if passed, increases a sentence 25% for a "hate crime". Politics and Political Correctness, not facts of law and reason, will define what a hate crime is.
"Equal Justice Under The Law" and "A Nation Of Laws And Not Of Men" is not what the Democrat Party believes in anymore. Never forget the disgusting conduct and final votes of the Democratic members of congress during the Impeachment of the President. The Democrats have shown by their actions during the impeachment and pushing House Bill 1211 that they believe in two systems of justice: one for members of the Democrat Party and their political supporters, which includes "protected class" person who "Hate Crime Laws" are written for, and another lesser system for everybody else.
The latest cause of the liberals to advance their victim agenda is to support the passage of hate crime legislation. This letter explains what I think this is really all about:

The hate crimes concept differentiates between crimes; it does not elevate one over another. Hate crimes of all kinds, not just brutal murders, have the effect of intimidating an entire group of people. There is not a parent, sibling or child of a gay or lesbian who doesn't draw a deep breath of fear on learning of the brutal killing of Matthew Shepard. There is no black mother or father who does not tighten their lips in fear on learning of James Byrd's horrendous death in Jasper, Texas.
I don't want to exploit the death of Matthew Shepard. I want to make it less likely for that kind of crime to be committed again. Gays and lesbians are beaten and murdered on account of their sexual orientation. If our laws reflect that we deplore such acts, our citizens will be less likely to commit them.

This is in reply to MOC in the October 27 issue of the Daily Oklahoman about hate crime legislation. If I, a white heterosexual male, was jumped by two men in a bar, beaten and robbed, and left to die or if I was dragged behind a truck on a Texas road would that be a love crime? I would be just as dead as any of the so-called "protected classes". Are the protected classes more worthy of life than I, a white heterosexual male? Is what George Orwell wrote in Animal Farm , "All animals are created equal, but some are more equal than others" now coming true?
O.J. Simpson killed his wife and her friend in a most gruesome way, hacking them to death on the doorsteps of the house his children were sleeping in. Since a women and a Jew were killed, could O.J. also be accused of a hate crime? But O.J. is black so he is a member of a protected group, could he be accused of a hate crime in the first place because he is non-white? What if O.J. was white and Goodman was not a Jew? Would O.J. be accused of a hate crime against his ex-wife, but not another white male? Can you see where this is leading?
Do you want to screw up the Justice system even more than it is right now by trying to second guess what a law breaker was thinking at the time of his crime or consider to what protected group his victims belonged to? You want to delay justice even more than it is now by conducting a background investigation of a criminal to look for a history of hate of certain groups of people? If a murder charge was not enough to deter O.J., do you honestly think Nicole Simpson and Goldman would still be alive today if we had laws that "reflect that we deplore such acts, our citizens will be less likely to commit them"? O.J. did not worry about being charged with hate crimes, he wanted them dead and O.J. is just as guilty with or without a hate crime law.
The real victims of hate crime legislation is people like you who have fallen for the liberal inspired myth that the United States is the most racist, sexist, homo phobic, etc. country in the history of the world and is willing to give up some of your freedoms. This sort of thing has lead to political correctness that endangers free speech, quotas to promote and hire unqualified persons, and abuses of the American with Disabilities Act. Society now generally holds protected classes "victims" to a lower educational, job performance, and behavior standards then that of non-protected classes because of discrimination by a biased and homo phobic white male majority who governs the country with a Constitution created by a bunch of heterosexual white male slave holders.
Hate crime laws will also affect our civil rights because it is an effort from the national government to federalize all the laws in the country. If the Justice Department does not "approve" of a sentence given to law breakers, they can retry them under this hate crimes law. Even worst, a highly corrupt president of the United States could order the Department of Justice to indict a whole series of persons in turn for hate crimes and conduct highly visible political show trials of them one after another to divert attention from his own scandals.
An example of how hate crime laws can be abused are the Los Angeles policeman involved in the Rodney King beating. They were found not guilty after a local trial, but were indicated in Federal Court for violation of Rodney King's civil rights and found guilty. The policeman have completed their sentences, but the Justice Department is still working to keep them in jail longer.
The Hate Crime Law will also curb our freedom of speech and expression because the government can say what they consider "hate speech" to be illegal under hate crime laws. Do not allow our law makers to pass some bad laws to show they are "doing something" as they have done many times in the past.
